Groundhog Day: Sweet Vermouth on the Rocks

Fill a rocks glass with ice, add vermouth and stir briefly to chill. Take a lemon peel and twist it over the drink. Run the rind over the rim of the glass, then use as a garnish by dropping it into the glass. Sip and enjoy as your mind wanders to the way the sun hits the buildings in Rome, and onward to world peace. Or just enjoy the buzz of fortified wine, because drunk is better.
